Adam Elliot is a naturally gifted, witty and highly entertaining speaker whose amazing journey of overcoming the odds is inspiring to all walks of life.
Russel Howcroft

Russel Howcroft has worked in the US, the UK and Australia.
He started his own agency, merged it, sold some of it, bought some of it back, merged it again, sold it and then found himself back at the agency brand he loves the most – George Patterson Y&R, where he is now National CEO.
He’s mad about ideas, all sorts of ideas, any ideas….as long as they’re good ones.
Russel believes the heroes in the business are those brave enough to buy the great work. The buyers, not the sellers. The people who understand the X Factor in business is the role creativity can play in order to achieve an outrageous return.
He sees the ad business as solving the everyday paradox of having an innovative outlook, one that is prepared to rethink agency boundaries while doing a great job making advertising. He spends a lot of time imagining what an agency can be for its clients and has recently settled down to the idea of “the agency business is about making consumer connections that generate better than expected profits for our clients”.
Russel is likely to re-think that notion at any given time of the day.
Margaret Manning, CEO, Reading Room

Reading Room CEO and Female Entrepreneur of the Year (Fast Growth Business Awards) Margaret Manning was last year recognised at the Stevies Women in Business Awards, picking up the Best Entrepreneur in EMEA award.
Margaret Manning is CEO of Reading Room, a global Top Ten Digital Agency (Interactive Media Awards) and the UK’s Third Top Digital Agency (Design Week Top 100). Having established Reading Room in the humble beginnings of a North London flat in 1996 with a staff of just two, today her company employs over 150 staff, with offices in London, Manchester, Canberra, Sydney and is currently launching in Brisbane.
Following being voted Female Entrepreneur of the Year at the 2008 Fast Growth Business Awards, Margaret had her entrepreneurial success recognised again at last year’s International Stevies Women in Business Awards in New York, picking up the Best Entrepreneur in EMEA award.
Margaret is one of very few female CEOs in the largely male-dominated digital industry, and knows exactly what it takes to create and build a global, successful and, ultimately happy business. Margaret’s philosophy is to stimulate thinking on the communication benefits of the Internet, advocating the web as a “channel for business” through the creative use for technology, design and content.
A well-respected figure in new media, Margaret sits on several boards and committees, including IPA’s Digital Media Committee and The Media Society, and is a 2008 Woman of Achievement Ambassador for the Lloyds TSB Inspirational Women Association.
Reading Room’s services span the full lifecycle of digital communications, such as strategic planning, creative and technical consultancy, design and development, and digital marketing and measurement. Reading Room works with clients from numerous sectors, ranging widely in size – including the Australian Museum, Australian National University, WWF, UNHCR and Skoda.
Hugh Mason

Hugh Mason, Partner, Pembridge Partners LLP
Beginning his career as an electronic engineering apprentice, Hugh went on to read Physics at University. Shortly after graduating he became a science TV producer, joining the BBC’s flagship popular Science TV show, Tomorrow’s World, broadcasting live to an audience of 8 million. Hugh then went freelance and set up a successful independent TV production business that made multiple award-winning science TV programs for broadcasters around the world in addition to large-format digital media content for science centres.
Finding himself as interested in the business side of running a creative company as he had previously been making films, Hugh co-founded Pembridge Partners in 2001. Instead of making complex stories about science accessible to non-specialist audiences, Hugh now applies his strategy, ideas and communication skills to help small creative businesses to visualise their futures and plan their way to success.
Pembridge Partners LLP has provided finance and advice to help create, build and realise value in over 2,000 creative businesses in the UK, Singapore and Netherlands. Acting as its first Managing Partner, Hugh coordinated the team that led to Pembridge raising, or directly investing, more than US $50 million into creative ventures.
